Amy Sananman – Senior VP of Community Impact

Amy brings over 25 years’ experience designing and implementing innovative, unconventional, collaborative and interdisciplinary policy, programmatic and participatory approaches to social justice issues in both the nonprofit and government sectors. She has a proven track record of supporting marginalized voices to access power. While working for almost a decade in tenant organizing and affordable housing, Amy founded and led Groundswell, a nationally-recognized youth development, creative place-making organization for 18 years, working with thousands of teens facing the challenge of growing up in under-resourced neighborhoods to use their voice and talents to make change in their lives and their communities through social-justice public art.
